Stephanie was nominated by Queen Katharine Academy’s Principal, Lynn Mayes, for having already shown the potential to become an outstanding school leader.

The scheme, which lasts one year, was set up to develop and support teachers, helping them obtain the knowledge and skills to become a future member of their school’s senior leadership team.

Successful candidates like Stephanie, are all in their first two to five years of teaching.

Lynn Mayes, Principal at Queen Katharine Academy, said: “We are so proud of Stephanie and the work she has put in to have earned this really well-deserved place. Over the years she has been teaching at QKA, Stephanie has been exceptional and always ensured her students achieve the best of their abilities. She is dedicated, passionate and the perfect candidate for this opportunity.

“For three years running now, QKA teachers have been offered a place on the highly respected SSAT Leadership Legacy Project, which highlights our commitment for developing and supporting the next generation of leaders. We all look forward to seeing Stephanie continue to thrive as a teacher and a leader at our school.”

Stephanie will now become part of an inspiring group of future education leaders from across the country, designated as SSAT Leadership Fellows. Leadership Fellows in the past have gone on to achieve increased leadership responsibilities at an early career stage.

The activities that the Fellows undertake will have an impact at classroom and whole school level and can bring additional benefits in terms of whole school performance.
