Local Advisory Committees

At the heart of our academy’s governance is a commitment to transparency, accountability, and meaningful stakeholder engagement. Our governance model is designed to ensure robust oversight at every level, from the Trust Members to the Local Advisory Committee (LAC). The Local Advisory Committee (LAC) plays a pivotal role as a bridge between the academy, its community, and the Trust Board.

Local Advisory Committee (LAC): The LAC acts as a ‘critical friend’ to the academy, providing insight, support, and stakeholder representation. It gathers feedback from parents, staff, pupils, and the wider community, ensuring that diverse perspectives inform our strategic priorities and improvement plans. While advisory in nature, the LAC contributes to trust-wide assurance by reporting annually to the Education Committee and fostering engagement across all trust schools.

This structure ensures that all stakeholders have a voice in the academy’s development and that governance is both robust and responsive to the needs of our community.
